SCW launches services department

September 2013 News & Events, Security Services & Risk Management

With the growing complexity of large installations, an over-the-counter or quick solution is no longer sufficient for security installers and integrators. Not only are the scope of projects getting larger, the technical background required to fulfil project needs have become more demanding.

New technology on the market has increased clients’ options exponentially. However, the integration of multiple systems, such as POS and access control into CCTV systems, and the advent of IP cameras mean that a strong technical background is required to successfully execute these projects. Another factor to consider is the increasing number of components required for each new aspect of a project. If all the components are not quoted from the start, the cost of the overlooked components often fall on the supplier or installer as they did not quote according to the project’s full specification.

In light of this, Security & Communication Warehouse (SCW) has introduced its new services department, focussed on delivering the best solution at the right price. Combining technical expertise with a great product line makes it possible to innovate without compromising on quality.

With the services department, projects and tenders can be handled on a case-by-case basis, giving each project the attention it requires. Dedicated product specialists will ensure that all the facets of the project are covered, that the equipment specified is capable of the required functions and that the equipment complies with all specifications. Headed by Stanley Henning, who boasts more than 15 years’ experience in both defence and IT, the department will remain up to date with the latest technological advancements and trends.

Quality of service extends beyond the design and implementation of the project. To ensure the users of the system understand all the functions and are capable of using the system to its full potential, the training academy offers certified end-user training in the use of the product, as well as certified installer training for the people responsible for installation and maintenance on site.

As financial controller and training CFO, Jessica Müller heads the finance section of the services department, providing tailored financial solutions for any project. As SCW uses several facilities, it is able to obtain finance for the client at the most competitive rates and beneficial approval criteria. Other benefits include no deposit payable plans, tax-deductible monthly rental plans and various repayment options.

If installation is not handled by the client, the services department can recommend or specify an installer for the project. Installers are drawn from a pool of reputable and experienced contractors, all of whom have been trained and have completed multiple high-end projects with SCW.
