Discovery Health has been a longstanding customer of Turnstar Systems. In 2005, Turnstar manufactured and installed eight glass turnstiles and four special needs gates for their premises in Sandton. That’s why when it came to the upgrading of a main entrance, Turnstar was the obvious supplier of choice.
The entrance is extremely busy and a robust reliable solution was required. Turnstar recommended installing an automatic revolving door and the finished product has delighted the customer. The revolving door is powder coated to match the aluminium shop front and replaced an old inferior door which was no longer operational. A 2,4 m 3-wing ATLAS automatic revolving door was chosen. As standard, Turnstar fits all its automatic revolving doors with optical safety edges in a rubber profile. The safety edges prevent crushing and bring the door to an almost instant halt in the event of activation.
