HID celebrates manufacture of 30 000 readers per month

HID Corporation, manufacturer of access control products, has reported that the company is now regularly manufacturing over 30 000 Prox-Point Plus Readers per month - testimony to the success of the product internationally.

During a recent visit to South Africa to attend the launch of new company TeqTrader, Mike Burdass, Director of European Sales for HID Corporation, says that the appointment of TeqTrader as distributor for HID Corporation products is likely to be welcomed by this market.

HID Corporation recently introduced a facility whereby TeqTrader can track its own orders as they are being processed through the organisation. "This is part of our global strategy to provide customers with stock and service, where you need them," says Burdass.

Included in the HID range available from TeqTrader is the ProxPoint Plus Reader, a fully function reader that combines multiple configuration options with cost-effectiveness.

Features include a beeper and multicolour LED that can be host and/or locally controlled and Wiegand or Clock-and-Data (magnetic stripe data) output.
