Suprema

1 June 2013 News & Events

Last year was hugely successful and Suprema is once again excited to be attending IFSEC SA in Hall 2, Stand i07/27. Suprema offers an extensive range of biometric technologies and ID solutions, all of which will be on display. These include the following.

Suprema is an authorised distribution partner of Abloy Africa and now offers users greater security by introducing high security electromechanical locking and fire compliant mechanisms as part of its mission to deliver fully integrated end-to-end solutions. These Abloy products will provide end-users the most secure locking mechanisms available in the market for access control systems. Abloy electromechanical locking mechanisms are produced to reliably and securely prevent unauthorised access to high security and critical areas of an access controlled area.

Suprema’s FaceStation which provides contactless, hands-free biometric authentication and which allows more convenience and hygiene than many other methods of access control security will once again turn heads at IFSEC SA. However, visitors this year can expect a few changes brought about by the latest firmware upgrade which include:

* An enhanced Face Enrolment GUI complete with 3D animation cut scenes and guides, as well as voice assist.

* Improved algorithm, resulting in faster enrolment, enhanced matching and improved matching speed.

* A subID creation feature allowing you to enrol a user with a hat, beard, glasses, etc. and then link up to five of these to the same profile.

* 1:1 face template updating which allows for progressive enrolment, meaning that if the image gathered during 1:1 authentication is better, then it is used to enhance the template stored on the device.

Suprema will introduce two new options for the BioEntry W including HID’s next generation iCLASS SE smartcard or existing HID Prox technologies. BioEntry W, Suprema’s robust smart fingerprint IP reader/controller with vandal-resistant and IP65 class housing is suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. The integration of HID iCLASS SE and HID Prox provides its customers with additional options when selecting multi-factor authentication systems to address their particular access management needs.

Suprema HID iCLASS SE models will now include: BioEntry Plus and BioEntry W.

Suprema HID Prox models include: Xpass, BioEntry Plus, BioEntry W and BioStation,

Since 1993, Aware has been a leading supplier of biometrics software used in thousands of systems globally for applications including border management, law enforcement, defence and credentialing. Aware’s live capture solutions, currently used at UK border control, Canadian VISA and other larger US deployments, now also offer the Suprema’s RealScan hardware for existing and new clients.

neaMetrics/Suprema in collaboration with Aware have implemented several thousand live capture solutions in Africa and the incorporation of Suprema RealScan into Aware’s libraries presents many opportunities and enables fast production of custom Livescan solutions. The company will be demonstrating Aware’s URC client at IFSEC.

SmartProtect is a plug-in for the Milestone Video Management Software (VMS). It allows centralisation of data from BioStar into Milestone thereby enhancing business intelligence. All information is accessible on Milestone allowing monitoring of fire, surveillance, alarms and now access from one location. SmartProtect saves time in critical situations by providing seamless access to required data, in one place.

The Suprema range is now fully integrated into SmartProtect making all information from Suprema’s BioStar available in Milestone. All Suprema alarm and access events are fed directly into Milestone and tagged to video recordings.

Suprema ProSync is a data management engine enabling accurate and real-time workforce management. ProSync is designed around the Suprema biometric time terminals, ensuring accurate clocking information is received at the time it is required to effectively manage operations. ProSync is seamlessly integrated with EasyRoster, enabling sophisticated staff rostering, planning, alert management, workforce optimisation and payroll integration that results in huge operational cost savings.

Suprema ProSync’s new Statistics and Monitoring dashboard provides live data on how your ProSync sites, devices and personnel are performing, allowing users to be proactive in identifying problems before it impacts on operations. It minimises complexity and increases the overall solution transparency.

ProSync’s new smartphone application, pocketOps, keeps you in touch and up-to-date with operations from anywhere in the world.
