New standalone access control products

September 2001 Access Control & Identity Management

SensAble Sensors has released a number of innovative new products for the standalone access control market. These include:

* AccSens Plus Proximity Controller - provides total control of up to eight independent access points across a RS485 network. This controller has a capacity of 2000 users and allows for realtime printing of date/time stamped transactions to a serial printer or terminal.

* The RS485 MiniNode - a compact 'smart relay' module for use in conjunction with the AccSens Plus Controller. The MiniNode provides an output relay for door lock mechanisms, two inputs for door sensors and other equipment, as well as converting signals for communication over the RS485 network.

* DorMag Swipe Card Reader - Reads standard ISO Track II magnetic cards and has a number of industry standard outputs. With a footprint of only 65 x 45 mm the DorMag delivers exeptional functionality in the smallest possible package. The DorMag will also incorporate a built-in proximity reader for dual-technology applications.

* RS485 PicoProx Reader - Able to communicate with the host controller (AccSens Plus or similar) over a RS485 network, and can be located up to 1000 m from the controller.
