Elvey Security Technologies

1 June 2013 News & Events

IFSEC SA offers Elvey a platform to engage with the industry in showcasing its range of security solutions. Visitors can find the company at Stand A01 in Hall 3. Some of the products on display include the following.

ZENTRY, a portable wireless early warning system that alerts users of property intrusions, giving them the opportunity to protect themselves against surprise attacks in and around the home. ZENTRY is never switched off and is thus always active. The key ZENTRY component is the User Node, a portable wireless electronic device small enough to fit in a shirt pocket and has a 4 km line of sight.

Hugely flexible, the Infinity offers 12 m x 90-degree adjustable detection patterns, five ready-to-use masking seal options and a distance range of 12 m, 8,5 m, 6 m, 3,5 m and 2,5 m. Unwanted areas such as swimming pools and walkways can be easily blocked out using the masking seals. Other masking seal options cater for 5 x 10 m protection, 1,5 x 10 m and 12 x 2 m protection for balconies and corridors. The Infinity employs Optex SMDA (Super Multi-Dimension Analysis) logic which, significantly reduces false alarm rates and missed detections.

The DSC PC1404 panel contains four onboard zones and can be expanded to eight zones through zone doubling. The panel also allows up to four keypads allowing homeowners to strategically place them anywhere in their home, and is compatible with the new ultra slim PC1404RKZ. The new keypad design blends with any décor and its small size makes it ideal for tight spaces. The control panel, with its two programmable outputs, can be used to activate other devices such as video verification equipment that allows for the recording of events the moment a zone is triggered.

The EnvisaLink 3 allows DSC alarm installers to provide their customers with the ability to view the status of, and control, their alarm panels using a standard Web browser or smartphone. They can receive an unlimited number of e-mail or SMS text message alerts concerning arming and disarming events as well as alarms and trouble conditions. Easy to install, the EnvisaLink TCP-IP based bus-level interface has a built-in basic Web server. It connects to the DSC PowerSeries alarm system’s keypad bus and the network switch/router, thereby enabling remote monitoring and control via an Internet browser or Internet-enabled devices such as an iPhone, Blackberry or Android mobile phone.

Embracing the need for intelligent devices in the industry, iPulse presents the iPulse iPB6 Biometric Security Unit. Essentially a miniaturised computer, the iPB6 features a state-of-the-art 32-bit microprocessor, full-colour LCD screen, 10/100 MB Ethernet connectivity and a 14-key capacitive-touch keypad. Running a custom-built Linux operating system and adhering to the principles of open source associated therewith, iPulse offers you unparalleled flexibility and absolute control over your devices that are unmatched in the modern market.

Seamless integration with up to 255 devices using Elvey’s unique advanced IntelliRelays provide secure communications that negate the biggest weakness in the biometric industry, with the added benefit of being a South African product – local support and high-level service to match a top-end device.
