Centurion Systems has added the new-look 746 sliding gate operator to its range of FAAC units. FAAC is an Italian company and with over 35 years' experience in this field they have developed a worldwide reputation of being the market leaders in the manufacture of gate automation products. Centurion Systems are the appointed agents for FAAC gate and access automation equipment in South Africa.
The 746 is a rugged industrial unit for gates up to 800 kg (pull force <18 kgf). It is now combined with the Centurion CP81 controller designed specifically for local conditions with lightning protection. This oil-cooled operator offers a 40% duty cycle and the thermal characteristics of the oil cooling make it an ideal operator in townhouse applications with short but intense peak usage conditions.
Other models in the range include the 'big brother' version of the 746, the 844, which can handle up to 1800 kg gates and the 820/860 series, which can be fitted with cooling fans for very intense usage applications.
