Legal City enjoys popular support.

October 99 News & Events

Since the launch of Stantronic's Legal City in May this year, the site has enjoyed the support of both the legal profession and the general consumer. With over 35 000 impressions since its inception and an average of 600 impressions per day, Legal City bodes well for similar sites planned for Stantronic's IT division.

The site assists members of the legal profession and paralegals in providing quick, cost-effective legal services to their communities, as well as providing the public with comprehensive and free access to legal services and assisted legal research at a nominal charge.

Popular areas on Legal City have proved to be the Hortors Online Attorney Finder, the Classifieds, as well as a myriad of articles on various legal topics.

Legal City's main focus is to make available as much information as possible at no cost, thereby allowing a greater percentage of the South African population to gain access to professional legal information. There are over 30 categories of law - ranging from estate planning, personal injury law and IT law to the Year 2000 issue.

With the overwhelming success of Legal City, together with its acceptance by business and professional communities, Stantronic Technology is looking to the next century as it integrates current business trends with future trends, by implementing elements applied in Legal City to build other virtual communities and interactive websites.
