Ready to pack a punch in 2013

April 2013 News & Events

South Africa has one of the fastest growing private security industries in the world with an annual turnover in the region of R50 billion. The industry includes approximately 9000 registered companies that provide a range of security services. In addition, the private security market continues to experience significant growth as an increasing number of organisations and private individuals turn to this industry for personal and asset protection.

Against this backdrop, IFSEC South Africa, has become the leading commercial security, homeland security and fire exhibition on the African continent. Taking place from 18-20 June 2013 at Gallagher Convention Centre, this event will once again bring the entire security and fire supply chain together under the umbrella of the IFSEC brand. Attracting almost 6000 buyers and senior decision-makers from Africa and abroad each year, who come to see more than 200 local and international exhibitors, IFSEC South Africa has become the must-attend event on the annual events calendar for local and international security professionals.

This year’s event will include the launch of a dedicated fire pavilion, providing those exhibitors that specialise in fire safety products and solutions with the ideal opportunity to showcase products and services alongside a seminar programme. Visitors will also be able to see and compare the widest range of innovative fire solutions while networking with industry experts from all aspects of fire safety.

Homeland Security and Safety Africa, is a dedicated exhibition zone and conference, focused on national security issues. It features companies that assist both government and organisations with national resilience, counter-terrorism, border security, national surveillance and policing issues. It also provides companies with an unrivalled route to market the most state-of-the-art equipment, products and services to those decision-makers directly responsible for purchases that impinge on a country’s national safety, security and infrastructure.

IFSEC South Africa has already attracted a number of high-profile event sponsors, including: local biometrics industry leader Ideco, Bruker and video surveillance company HIKVision. The exhibitor line-up includes ATEC Systems & Technologies, Axis Communications, Bloodhound Technologies, Centurion Systems, Elvey Security Technologies, ID Control and many more.
