Falcon Electronics has a new addition to its ATEN Professional AV product line, the VE814 HDMI extender to extend ultra HD 4kx2k video up to 100 metres using only one Cat 5e cable. The VE814 is designed for conference centres, corporate training facilities, schools and other environments that need to distribute multi-media content.
The VE814 delivers high quality video to dual HDMI displays up to 100 metres away from the HDMI source device. In addition, high quality video can be cost-effectively streamed using up to three HDMI displays. It includes a built-in Ethernet pass-through port for Internet connectivity, making it easy to access and integrate the Web when necessary. With bi-directional IR functionality, it provides a convenient way of controlling deep colour HDMI source devices from the remote unit, while also granting access to the HDMI display device from the local unit. An RS-232 serial connection integrates the VE814 with the serial device and control system.
