AC/DC and Tecnoalarm announce partnership

March 2013 News & Events

With crime rates up in South Africa, many residents feel uneasy about relying solely on the protection of the law. With continued technological advancements, there is no reason not to look into additional security.

AC/DC Dynamics and Tecnoalarm from Italy, a manufacturer and supplier of security systems have announced their partnership to offer a superior quality home and business security system not only in South Africa but also in sub-Saharan Africa as well. AC/DC Dynamics is an independent importer, distributor, manufacturer and service provider of control solutions for the energy and security markets.

Tecnoalarm is a partner of thousands of installers and final customers who daily entrust the Turin company with the protection of their property and their personal safety. For more than 30 years, Tecnoalarm has been developing and producing sophisticated alarm systems, guaranteeing its customers high performance, extensive customisation capabilities, user-friendliness and refined design. The Pininfarina design in fact permits a perfect blending with any home decoration and architectural framework.

By applying RSC (Remote Sensitivity Control) technology to all its system components, Tecnoalarm redefined the standards of reliability and of personalisation. Each installer now has access to a complete range of products which can be programmed remotely and can work successfully on the design and supply of both small domestic systems and large industrial systems, in full compliance with current standards CEI 79-2 and CEI 79-3 for burglar alarms.

The RDV system, internationally patented to Tecnoalarm, allows the alarm system to ‘understand’ whether the alarm signal generated by a sensor was activated by an intruder or accidentally (electromagnetic or electronic disturbance, window left open by mistake, falling object, etc.).

The system ‘transforms’ the movement triggering the alarm into an acoustic signal which is then transmitted to the home-owner’s mobile phone and to the surveillance centre.

For those that want the top of the range Tecnoalarm can offer VideoAlarm, a combined system of burglar alarm and video surveillance. A single console with a large touch screen display provides user friendly management of the most sophisticated burglar alarm functions, home automation applications and full video surveillance allowing the user to monitor everything outside and inside of the house.
