Intelligent infrared lens

August 2001 Surveillance

The E-831 is a manual iris CS mount lens with integrated infrared array. It allows one to turn a B/W CS mount camera or the E-567 camera into a camera that is able to see in the near-infrared-spectrum.

One is able to choose from 4, 6 or 8 mm focal length versions. The lens features an integrated light sensor, which switches the IR LEDs on when the light level drops below 10 lux. Power is via the connector, which plugs into the camera's DC socket. This lens is ideal for use in areas with poor or no light.
