Locally assembled surveillance system

August 2001 Surveillance

The HDVR systems are available in 9 and 16-channel units and are assembled in South Africa using advanced Wavelet Compression video capture cards, manufactured in Korea.

The HDVR is a complete system with an easy user interface providing advanced technology coupled with a robust and stable operating system.

The system can support PAL, NTSC and SECAM. It is available in a desktop style, rack mountable industrial casing and includes a network interface card for remote access. The system can be accessed via PSTN, LAN and WAN using the HDVR remote software.

Features include:

* 16-channel playback: simultaneously playback all 16 video images on the same screen at the same time.

* Watchdog built-in: system checks its own integrity if errors occur and reboots if necessary.

* High-speed recording and playback:

-- Resolution of recorded images can be adjusted to increase the number of frames per camera recorded each second.

-- Triplex functionality allows simultaneous view, record and playback.

* Watermarking: HDVR video can only be played back through the HDVR software, so therefore image integrity can be protected.
