Blue Security launches a vehicle ownership plan

May 2012 News & Events

The recent hand-over of 10 new vehicles marked the beginning of the rollout of a Vehicle Ownership Plan that Blue Security has put in place for its technicians. According to MD, Darryn Le Grange, the Vehicle Ownership Plan is an extension of Blue Security’s ongoing staff training and upliftment programme, which the company has had in place for a number of years.

“Many companies say that their people are their greatest assets; we believe it wholeheartedly so we began a process of investing in our people a number of years ago. By way of example, we were the first security company to have all of our technicians trained and certified to SAIDSA standards. This exceeds industry norms and sets Blue Security apart from other security companies in that we are the only security company to have achieved this level of staff training. In addition to regular wellness days, our people also receive business management and financial planning training, which helps them in their everyday lives as well.

“What we have done with the Vehicle Ownership Plan is use our ability as a company to leverage finance and we have given our technicians an opportunity to own their vehicle at the end of the repayment period.”

Charles Naidoo, one of the first technicians in line to benefit from the Vehicle Ownership Plan said: “I feel valued and have a sense of pride that Blue Security has given me the chance to own my own vehicle. I am grateful to Blue Security for this opportunity as without the company’s assistance in securing the finance this would not have been possible.”

Le Grange concluded: “Of course looking after our people in this way also allows us to attract the highest calibre people, which is essential for us to be able to deliver on our promise to provide a world-class service.”
