One particular US retailer selected the March Network’s Managed Video Network Services to ensure optimal performance of more than 27 000 March Networks IP video systems currently operating in its stores nationwide.

The March Networks product range is utilised in over 400 of the world’s banks and is also the No. 1 DVR in the North American banking market, as well as being the first company to offer a completely web-based Video Management System solution.

Several major transportation infrastructure projects within South Africa are equipped with state-of-the-art March Networks video surveillance systems, to help create a safe and secure environment.

On completion of Johannebsurg’s new Rea Vaya Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system consisting of more than 250 kilometres of dedicated bus lanes and 150 stations, will be equipped with March Networks fixed and PTZ IP cameras, installed at every station by Bona Electronic Solutions (Pty) Ltd., a Basix Group Company. The cameras are linked to the Joint Command and Control Centre operated by the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) via a high-speed fibre-optic network.

Bona Electronic Solutions also won the contract to supply the fixed video recording systems for South Africa’s 80-kilometre Gautrain, another major transportation project. The fixed Gautrain video surveillance system with a total of more than 1000 cameras, is connected to March Networks VideoSphere Edge encoders and networked recorders. The system includes a viewing station at each rail station as well as five monitoring stations at Gautrain’s control centre to investigate incidents and proactively monitor platform risks such as overcrowding.

Bona Electronic Solutions is also using the March Networks recorders for Intelligent Transportation Systems that monitor traffic on major highways serving Johannesburg and several other cities in South Africa.

Hybrid NVRs and DVRs

The March Network’s network video recorders (NVRs) are scaleable recording platforms able to support both IP and analog cameras. They deliver outstanding video compression and as much as 8TB of internal storage, with external storage options. You can choose from a range of form factors to meet your specific site requirements, and take advantage of advanced health management for optimum recording system performance.

March Networks NVRs can be managed with their Command video management platform or Visual Intelligence software. They integrate easily with their IP cameras and encoders, and support a range of optional video analytics.

The 7532 Onvif compliant Hybrid NVR is a powerful and easy-to-use networked video recorder that supports both high-definition (HD) megapixel IP cameras and existing analog cameras. The 7532 provides H.264 compression and supports a total of 32 IP/analog cameras.

The 4332 C and 4324 C Hybrid NVRs double the IP video capacity of our industry-leading 4000 C series network recorders. Compatible with both March Networks

Command and Visual Intelligence software, these network recorders deliver enhanced live monitoring and investigation via a single software interface. They support multiple third-party IP cameras and access control integrations, as well as optional embedded analytics.
