PService administration

March 2012 Surveillance

PService scans the video network for Dallmeier devices, automatically detects those and displays them in an overview. Recorders and cameras can thus be administered conveniently.

The comprehensive functions range from changing IP addresses to updates for camera and recorder software and up to user and rights administration. It is also possible to restart the devices via PService.

PService can be used for all Dallmeier network cameras and all Dallmeier recorders as from the fourth generation.

The recorders and cameras detected during the network scan can conveniently be moved to a directory tree using drag-and-drop and then be divided into different groups. This allows for a clear and structured representation of the entire VideoIP system. The system structure can be saved – and the software does so not only for a local network: when installed on a mobile device PService also saves structure and data of the defined virtual systems for independent networks of different objects. The installer’s or technician’s work becomes easier and timesaving: for the next customer visit, the saved settings can be recalled simply and quickly.

A preview function is available for network cameras, so that the camera image can be viewed directly in PService. A live camera access via browser is also possible. The layout of the different PService application areas is not static but flexible and movable. The individual windows can be specifically adjusted and positioned.

PService enables the execution of updates for all network components (cameras and recorders). Identical device models with identical software versions can be updated simultaneously. It is therefore possible to update an entire product range at once and save a lot of time.

The variety of integrated tools makes PService a central and complete service instrument. PService is thus the next step in development and the perfect substitute for the specific and dedicated Dallmeier tools of the past.

PService is available for free download from the Dallmeier Partner Forum. If you do not have Partner Forum access yet, register for free: www.dallmeier.com/ls/login
