Holton hosts BitDefender

March 2012 News & Events

Holton and Associates closed off January 2012 by hosting an event for BitDefender dealers at the Theatre on the Track in Kyalami.

With Paula Enache, channel account manager of BitDefender and Cristian Avram. technical trainer of BitDefender travelling all the way from Romania to specifically share information about the latest cloud computing security solution, guests were on the receiving end of a value-packed event.

Virtualisation is the new black for business as consolidation of server and end-user workloads onto a shared infrastructure not only reduces hardware costs and has benefits for the environment, but significant operational advantages are also made readily available. It makes sense then that there would be a solution specific for virtualised environments and cloud computing.

BitDefender’s latest offering, Security for Virtualised Environments (SVE), is the first comprehensive security solution for virtualised data centres. Integrating seamlessly with VMware vShield and VMware vCenter, as well as any system running on any other kind of virtualisation technology, SVE has been designed to provide highly advanced, proactive, and reliable security in virtualised environments and is a cornerstone of building and enhancing data centre virtualisation strategies.

Ryan Rorrison, senior consultant at IT Evolution and one of the event attendees, had only good things to say, “We believe the product set offered will push not only BitDefender, but our own business too into a new market.

Jonathan Holton, GM of Holton and Associates, affirms, “We had an exceptionally successful introduction to the new and exciting offering from BitDefender. Security for Virtualised Environments has brought a new level of protection and innovation from BitDefender.”
