Integrating video and fire

CEM Systems has integrated the AC2000 security management system with the American Dynamics victor unified video management solution and the Tyco Minerva MX range of fire panels. AC2000 is an integrated access control, alarm processing and photo badging system, with a set of software and hardware features.

“CEM has a dedicated in-house integrations team, meaning new interfaces to the AC2000 security system can be developed quickly and seamlessly on request,” said Andrew Fulton, business development director, CEM Systems. “As a powerful platform, the CEM AC2000 SE (Standard Edition) system currently integrates with many Tyco products. However the new American Dynamics victor video interface with AC2000 and Tyco MX Minerva fire interface positions CEM uniquely as a provider of one seamless Tyco security solution for access control, video, fire and intrusion.”

The AC2000 Tyco Minerva Fire interface enables alarms from Minerva MX Fire panels to be integrated with the AC2000 SE security management system. Using the central CEM AC2000 Alarm Event Display application as a means of system integration, inputs from fire panels can be placed as icons on a single graphical map. This provides a graphical representation of the physical layout of fire sensors, panels or zones and allows for central alarm monitoring of both access control and fire alarms. No additional software or hardware is required.

American Dynamics victor is a unified security and surveillance solution providing the ability to view, manage and control live and recorded video from Intellex digital video recorders and VideoEdge network video recorders. The AC2000 victor interface allows AC2000 access control alarms to be sent to the American Dynamics victor unified video solution where they can be associated with video actions. The victor interface also allows control of AC2000 devices within the victor unified client, supporting access control features such as remote door lock/unlock.

Acting as the central security management system, the CEM AC2000 system supports high levels of integration, offering customers one central command and control centre for access control, video, intrusion, perimeter detection and more. In addition to fellow Tyco brands, CEM has also partnered with other third-party security suppliers including Bosch, Synectics and IndigoVision and others.
