Turnstar manufactures a range of drop arm barriers for entrance solutions for any building. The drop arm barrier is locally designed and manufactured and is exported worldwide. The drop arm barrier is used in applications such as office reception areas, health clubs, universities and libraries.
The Turnstar XtraLife mechanism is used to drive the barrier arm of the drop arm barrier. The mechanism is designed by professional engineers who have over 20 years of industry experience. The 100% duty geared torque motor provides consistent and long lasting operation. A double buffer system lowers mechanical stress and a specially designed microprocessor logic control board seamlessly integrates the standalone optical safety detector. No reflector is required.
The cabinet of the drop arm barrier is manufactured from 304 grade brushed stainless steel. The cabinet top cover and barrier arm are available in a number of different finishes. The cabinet top cover is available in 304 grade brushed stainless steel and in Rustenburg granite. The barrier arm is available with a 38 mm diameter stainless steel tube and polycarbonate skirt or with a polycarbonate arm and aluminium top strip.
The drop arm barrier integrates will all access control and time and attendance systems.
