Baxall has had its Pyramid matrix system and cameras installed in the UK's third busiest accident and emergency (A&E) department based at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
As part of a major upgrade, Centurion Security installed a comprehensive £1/4m security system, encompassing an integrated CCTV, access control, door entry and personal attack safety system for staff.
The CCTV system features 55 Baxall colour cameras installed internally and externally, covering all main circulation areas, such as corridors and the main entrances.
The cameras are controlled by a Baxall Pyramid matrix switching system. This provides full control of the cameras' functions, recorder and multiplexers, plus allows any camera to be held and sequenced on any monitor - including the Vista confidence monitors in the main entrance, which have been specially fitted with bulletproof glass.
The Pyramid matrix is linked to a security management system, so the hospital has the option of using state-of-the-art touchscreen controls or a joystick and keyboard.
