Due to high demand, HiTek Security Distributors has recently released its new line of HD DVRs. Ultimately the DVR will determine the resulting video resolution. The DVR will capture the analogue video signal received from the camera into compressed digital video. The resulting video resolution depends on the capturing resolution. Using over 600Tvl cameras and then recording the video at CIF resolution will be equivalent to driving a racing car in a crowded city. You will not be able to get 600 pixels of horizontal resolution since the DVR is capturing only 352 pixels of horizontal resolution. In order to enjoy the high-resolution video coming from the cameras you need to have a DVR which can support the camera resolution.
