EMS grabs Commend distribution

August 2011 News & Events

Commend has signed a distribution agreement with Johannesburg-based Evolving Management Solutions (EMS) for its technologies to be marketed, installed and supported via EMS’s qualified dealer network throughout Africa.

Herbert Pamminger, sales director of Commend International GmBH says that while the Commend security and communications solutions are already present in more than 30 000 locations worldwide, South Africa is an increasingly important market: “To be a truly global player you need to partner the very best to expand your network,” he says.

Greg Gregoriou, MD of Commend UK adds, “Working with EMS is a mutually beneficial partnership, where we can learn from each other and develop new access and communications solutions for an ever demanding world.”

Commend has designed and manufactured intercom solutions since 1971 and while committed to embracing new technologies with leading edge R&D facilities, its products are also able to integrate with existing Commend systems as far back as 1980, allowing them to be future proof.

“It is apt that we signed this agreement at IFSEC as this is where our two companies first came into contact with each other. We had been searching for a partner in intercoms for some time. The Commend product range certainly ticks all of the boxes when it comes to crystal clear communications over IP. Even old systems can be upgraded, enhanced and supported by the Commend technology via EMS. We look forward to bringing Intercom 2.0 to South Africa,” says Ann Brookes, MD of EMS.
