Schneider Electric SA appointment

Global specialist in energy management, Schneider Electric South Africa, has announced the appointment of Jacqui Gradwell as vice president: Marketing and Communication. She will report directly to Schneider Electric South Africa country president, Carl Kleynhans.

Gradwell’s appointment follows her more than 10 year history at APC by Schneider Electric. She was first employed as product manager for APC by one of South Africa’s major distributors, before being appointed as marketing manager for Africa at APC by Schneider Electric. Following that function, she was made responsible for ensuring business continuity and improvement on both marketing measurement and results as strategic marketing manager for English Africa, Middle East and Turkey.

In her new capacity as vice president, Gradwell’s responsibilities will include aligning country marketing and communication with Schneider Electric’s corporate objectives and its strategy, as well as integrating, implementing, and helping to improve global marketing processes locally – such as strategy, operations, solutions/segment marketing, Web programs, brand migration, communications, media relations, press/industry analyst relations, direct customer acquisition and retention, events and channel marketing – while ensuring seamless alignment with local business priorities.
