Surveillance cameras on mines

Typical solutions we have provided in the past would be cameras with 700TVL, and additional IR design, with a variety of lenses depending on the area to be covered. Features on the DVR will be H.264 compression and it must be networkable. Recordings should also be clear enough to provide necessary information when required.

The quality of recorded images is crucial; most clients get carried away with the live view, but frustrated when viewing recorded images. The quality and nature of cabling is critical to ensure an effective and efficient system that does not keep breaking down due to poor decisions or equipment and workmanship. All cabling needs to be protected against vandalism and mechanical damage. Most mines are in lightning prone areas and an installation is not complete before all measure are taken to provide reasonable as far is possible protection against lightning.
