Axis Communications has introduced a cost-effective, easy-
to-install indoor pan/tilt/zoom camera with 29x optical zoom and H.264 video in D1 resolution. The Axis P5532 PTZ dome network camera has an IP51-rated protection against dust and dripping water and is ideal for use in airports, train stations, warehouses, shopping malls and schools.
With an automatically removable infrared-cut filter, the camera’s day and night functionality ensures that image quality is maintained even in low light conditions. It can deliver multiple, individually configurable H.264 and Motion JPEG video streams simultaneously. The PTZ camera provides 29x optical and 12x digital zoom with autofocus. With auto-flip functionality, it can pan 360° – beyond the mechanical stop – enabling an operator to continuously follow an object.
Support for Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3at) simplifies installation since only one cable is required for power, video and PTZ controls. A High PoE midspan is supplied with the camera.
