Ganz launches HD series

November 2010 Products & Solutions, Surveillance

Ganz, a product of CBC Europe and distributed locally by Datanet Infrastructure Group, has launched the PixelPro series of H.264 HD IP CCTV Cameras in both C/CS Mount and Vandal Resistant Domes.

The PixelPro series is fully ONVIF compliant and has an HTML-based API available, resulting in it being ideal for deployment in disparate systems. The series utilises a 1/2,5-inch Progressive Scan CMOS optical sensor with the following resolutions available for both C/CS mount cameras and dome cameras;

* VGA (640 x 480).

* 720p (1280 x 1024).

* 1080p (1920 x 1080).

It also has an eight x digital zoom as standard and a dynamic range of more than 70 dB.

The PixelPro series offers these standard features;

* Dual streaming.

* True day/night performance (through mechanical IR cut filters).

* Digital input/output.

* Full duplex audio capability.

* Dual BNC and10/100 RJ45 port.

* On-board micro SDHC card slots with a maximum 32 GB capacity.

The new Texas Instruments Da Vinci processor provides the advantage of both compressing the video stream on the camera to H.264 while simultaneously processing video content analysis with complex algorithms on the camera – making it a true edge device with the intelligence seated in the camera, negating the need for expensive server based arrays for video analytics. This limits network traffic to and from the camera to the NVR and Video Content Analysis happens in real-time meaning that alarms are generated immediately without delay.

The Vandal Resistant Domes have been independently tested and certified to IK10 vandal resistance standards and carries an IP66 rating with IP68 variations in development.

They feature P-Iris technology using Computar MFZ Varifocal lenses. P-Iris technology, in a nutshell, indicates that the Iris opening of the camera is managed by software embedded in the IP camera unlike normal DC-iris (Auto Iris) lenses where the Iris control is seated in mechanical control. This results in better contrast, clarity and resolution.
