Security Technologies Group appoints G2 as African distributor

October 2010 News & Events

Security Technologies Group (STG) announced the appointment of specialist fire and security distributor, G2 Security, as its distributor for its complete range of readers and credentials throughout Africa.

STG’s range of Farpointe advanced readers and credentials include initiatives such as:

* ECO Friendly technology to drastically reduce power consumption.

* MAXSecure technology to ensure that each credential issued is totally unique and cannot be duplicated and used on a system.

* Custom finishes ensuring that readers match existing décor.

* Widest operational temperature range within the industry.

* Compatibility with other technologies such as HID and AWID.

“G2’s commitment to supplying quality products backed up by superior technical support were just some of the reasons behind our decision, however its personal relationship with its customer base was the overall driving factor,” said Denis Kane, director for STG. “In the past we have seen customers struggling to work with distributors, so a relationship-based distributor with a high degree of technical competence was exactly what we were looking for as this mirrors our own ethos.”

This collaboration will combine STG’s solutions with G2’s technical knowhow, delivery and value added capabilities which will all go to enhance the experience for their joint customers.

“G2 is constantly on the lookout for innovative and advanced technologies to bring to the South African market place. STG’s Farpointe reader range stood out as a fresh product with tangible differentiators. No other reader portfolio offers unique features such as custom finishes, truly enhanced security and reduced power consumption,” commented Nichola Allan of G2.
