DSS sole distributor for Korean manufacturer

June 2001 Surveillance

The CCTV industry is changing at a rapid pace and in its wake comes new generations of 21st century technology high-speed digital security systems that are capable of simultaneous display, record and playback functions. This is according to Digital Surveillance Systems, a Johannesburg-based company, specialising in video surveillance and recording techniques.

Hyundai Telecommunications has endorsed DSS as the sole distributor in South Africa for its complete range of digital video recorders with the full support of a recognised and true brand. The company has pledged itself to offer product excellence as well as complete backup service from highly qualified IT personnel.

The company recently announced the introduction of its next generation of 4, 8, 9 and 16-channel units that are assembled locally. The HDVR systems deliver all video footage instantly at the click of a button together with remote surveillance, pan tilt zoom controls and full video motion detection facilities. One distinct advantage is the ability to watch all 16 channels on playback simultaneously as well as do advanced search functions that can pinpoint any activity to the second. Realtime display, coupled with high speed recording and a low maintenance cost, make the HDVR well equipped for its task.
