iPulse IDUS fingerprint reader

September 2010 Products

Rugged and tough, the iDU5 has specifically been designed to survive the African environment. An IP65 rating ensures that the iDU5 remains dustproof and water resistant, complemented by a virtually indestructible sensor prism designed to resist scratches, stress and corrosion.

Boasting some of the lowest failure rates in the biometrics industry and thousands of units currently in the field, the iDU5 also offers the benefit of being a locally-manufactured product, granting instant access to parts, support and high-quality, local service.

The iDU5 comes in two flavours – the 1000 print Access and the 10 000 print Enterprise. Connectivity is handled via 10 MB/s Ethernet, Serial (RS232/485) or 26/44 bit Wiegand, making interfacing with other devices in the security sector a cinch.

Features include:

* Local and server identification.

* Fully functional standalone unit.

* 500 DPI sensor.

* Up to 12 500 stored transactions.

* Up to 10 000 stored fingerprints.

* Optional FIPS 201 compliance.

* Rugged polycarbonate casing.

* Four x 20 Char LCD display.

* IP65 rating.

* 1 year warranty.
