Pelco will introduce the Sarix Thermal camera product line, designed to provide customers with advanced network video security functionality in a high-performance thermal imaging product, later this year.
The Sarix imaging platform offers a high level of image quality with up to 640 x 480 resolution, 25-micron pixel size and H.264 compression. Compared to MPEG4 compression, H.264 offers much better compression and is more efficient for optimised video quality and minimal bandwidth consumption.
The cameras are based on an open architecture for easy integration into existing platforms. Sarix thermal imaging cameras are compatible with all Pelco and third-party applications that currently integrate with Pelco Sarix-based fixed and PTZ products.
Typical thermal imaging products sold in the video security market have been designed by traditional thermal imaging manufacturers for a variety of uses. Sarix Thermal was designed specifically with the security professional in mind.
