Sagem has released the new MA 500+ series terminals to replace the MA 500 series terminals. They are available for purchase through the Ideco distribution channel.
The MA 500+ series supports all previous MA 500 series functionality, namely: 3000 user base, upgradable to 50 000; 8000 offline transaction buffering; fake finger detection available with certain models; Power over Ethernet; and configurable relay output.
The new design features a straight lines-based concept with a flat keypad. A white LCD backlight improves message display and the capture area has a finger guide to optimise finger placement.
New features include DESfire badge encoding and reading capabilities; Wi-Fi option with static IP address configuration on terminal; Arabic language support; and improved local enrolment on terminal for sites with less than 30 people.
