New Smokecloak range from TCT

October 2009 Fire & Safety

Transaction Control Technologies (TCT) recently introduced the new Vali Range of Smokecloak Instant Theft Prevention Systems to the South African market.

Smokecloak effectively buys time between alarm activation and the arrival of a response team. As soon as the unit is activated (via alarm, detectors or panic button) it instantly discharges a dense white vapour, completely enveloping the protected area. Visibility is drastically reduced, making it impossible for the intruders to see anything. The success rate and track record of Smokecloak within the South African environment has resulted in lower insurance premiums for their customers. In most instances the reduced rate pays for the Smokecloak installation.

Brand new features maximise ease-of-installation, service and maintenance. A USB interface and fluid refill system are also unique to Vali. The electronic interface capability offered by the microprocessor control and software provides a range of error-checking, reporting and log facilities. Vali integrates with existing alarm systems, instantly upgrading your level of protection without incurring additional equipment cost.

The V5, V10 and V20 models in the Vali range take smoke protection to the next level by their explosive discharge capability. Also, the inclusion of three different nozzles (straight, 30-degree and 3-way) make the units more versatile in terms of installation and directed smoke output to targeted areas within the protected perimeter.

As with all other Smokecloak Systems, the Vali units are monitored by patented Cloaksensors to automatically control the density of the vapour even in the event of a prolonged attack. The units are capable of various discharges from a single container of fluid manufactured from a special glycol formulation which is designed to produce vapour with maximum density.

The vapour produced is completely harmless and non-contaminating. Various international and local South African tests have confirmed the safety of the fluid and smoke generated from it, further backed by liability insurance held by MSS Professional, the manufacturers of the Smokecloak Vali range of products.
