CCD-based 1.3 megapixel network camera

August 2009 Surveillance

The Hikvision DS-2CD862MF-E CCD-based 1.3 megapixel network camera uses high-performance TI-DSP technology and the MPEG-4 video codec. One of the features of DS-2CD862MF-E is that it adopts 1/3-inch Sony progressive scan CCD, which makes the product suitable for low-light environment with the minimum illumination of 0.1 Lux at F1.2. In addition, DS-2CD862MF-E has advanced auto iris, which enables the product to adjust the iris automatically based on the illumination. Wide dynamic and backlight compensation are also supported, which enables the product to provide clear images in various lighting conditions.

Another highlight is its multizone motion detection and sensitive area mask function, which fits into different security and privacy concerns of surveillance applications. Furthermore, users have the option to use VGA, instead of Ethernet, for realtime video display. All the features make the DS-2CD862MF-E a good solution for finance, government, telecommunication, and critical infrastructure applications among others.

Key features:

* 1/3 inch Sony progressive scan CCD.

* TI-DSP technology and MPEG4/H.264 video codec.

* High resolution video preview: 1280×720 pixels.

* Supports motion detection.

* Day and night: ICR.
