NUUO opens African office

NUUO has launched an office in Johannesburg to serve its customers in Africa, headed by Graham Goldridge. NUUO was founded in 2004. NUUO’s headquarters are in the Innovation Incubation Centre of National Taiwan University (NTU) in Taipei.

It boasts a successful record of 13 800 installation points in 60 countries, as well as its use by industries ranging from mass transit to education, government projects, banks, retailers, hospitals, hotels, casinos, and enterprises.

Combining NVR and NDVR hybrid technologies with IVS detections has provided NUUO with a successful entry into the security industry market.

The products NUUO brings to market include:

CMS – NUUO Central Management System: The NUUO NVR-based Central Management System (CMS) is designed for large-scale and complex enterprise-scale projects, allowing control of the system over the Internet. With all NUUO product lines, including hybrid, NVR, DVR and NAS NVRmini, the NUUO CMS supports unlimited cameras, servers and users. Based on open platform, the NUUO CMS provides clients to easily integrate with third-party systems. NUUO CMS’s alarm management, immediate E-map function and unlimited matrix consoles provide users advanced surveillance systems.

NUUO Hybrid NDVR: NUUO-NDVR, the hybrid solution, enables IP and analogue surveillance cameras to work together. A NUUO Hybrid solution can manage 64 channels simultaneously. The advanced features of the NUUO Hybrid NDVR solution include 'Smart Guard' detection, instant response plus 3GPP support, intelligent search for detected events, graphical recording schedule control, video enhancement tools and E-map. The NUUO Central Management System integrates NUUO Hybrid NDVR solution to support strict requirements of large-scale surveillance projects.

NUUO NVR (IP+): NUUO PC-based NVR (IP+) provides a flexible and cost-efficient solution, managing from four to 64 channels depending on a user’s needs. As an open architecture, NUUO NVR supports 30 brands of IP and Megapixel cameras and more than 520 models, including IP cameras, Megapixel cameras and video servers. It is equipped with NUUO intelligent video solution functions plus remote live viewing, smart search for unusual events, GUI recording schedule, graphic E-map indicators, video enhancement tools, and 3GPP support. It also has an extended capacity to monitor point of sales (POS) and supported by NUUO Central Management System, allowing users to design surveillance system to fulfil all demand, from large-scale projects to small and medium-sized business.

NUUO NAS NVRmini Standalone: With a Linux-embedded system, the NUUO NVRmini platform offers a stable, open, easy installation that is free from virus attack, and is appropriate for multiple applications. NVRmini supports Plug and Play, 2–4 hard disks and 4–16 IP cameras from 14 different brands. Using Internet Explorer 6.0 or above in combination with a RAID hard drive, NVRmini increase the data transfer rate and ensures continuous system operation in case of a disk drive failure. With online GUI recording schedule, instant playback, and intelligent smart guard search, monitoring becomes far more efficient.
