Cape-based AMF Technologies has released the AST Smart DataSafe in South Africa. The Smart DataSafe is the latest generation of compact, secure, plug and play data storage solution and, the company claims the most secure data container to date. With similar technology to an aeroplane black box, it protects your backup data against fire, water, theft, vandalism and building collapse. The system can store up to 8 TB of RAID 5 network attached storage (NAS).
