Vision Systems announces release of an integrated video management system with advanced multiplexer

September 99 Surveillance

Vision Systems has announced the release of an integrated video management system with a 20 camera, colour, full-duplex multiplexer. Known as the ADPRO Amux 20CD, the product is designed to provide a premium quality solution for CCTV security and surveillance applications by integrating video management with an advanced multiplexer design.

The Amux 20CD has a number of exceptional features such as 20 x 4 matrix switching, auto sequencing, alarm homing, four monitor outputs, activity detection and integrated, variable speed pan/tilt/zoom control.

Four monitor outputs can be programmed to display any camera in spot, auto sequencing or alarm homing mode. This flexible configuration capability will, in some applications, remove the need to use a separate matrix switcher.

The use of high-speed image processing technology provides outstanding quality video replay and one of the highest recording rates in the industry. Combining this with the Amux 20CD advanced alarm management technique ensures critical video evidence is given the highest priority at the fastest possible update rate.

The main monitor output has three display options and users can choose between an industry standard composite display, a SVHS monitor or a SVGA digital computer monitor that provides a very cost effective, flicker-free display option.

Both live and replay video can be displayed in single or multi-camera displays. Available display splits are 4, 7, 9, 10, 13 and 16-way, or in a unique window mode that shows three fixed camera displays with the first quadrant behaving like a separate monitor for sequencing and alarm homing. Flexible alarm options ensure that operators can tailor the presentation of alarms to suit the site requirements without compromising site security.

Activity detection provides the ability to detect small amounts of change or movement within a camera scene. It can be used to optimise the recording rate as well as providing alarm output and homing for operator verification.A camera scene can have special detection zones se-tup for activity monitoring and any activity outside of a zone is 'masked' and ignored by the Amux.

The ADPRO range of products are designed, developed and manufactured in Australia. Vision Systems in accredited under ISO 9001.
