New FlexiDome IP cameras

October 2007 Surveillance

The new FlexiDome IP cameras from Bosch offer a superior blend of high-performance imaging technology and network flexibility in a very tough, stylish dome.

Some of the cameras' many benefits include easy installation and commissioning, storage efficient MPEG-4 video encoding and tri-streaming, and Direct-to-iSCSI recording. Via local area networks or the Internet, images from multiple locations can be stored and managed centrally, allowing authorised access to content from anywhere the network can be accessed.

Inside the high impact, vandal-resistant enclosure of FlexiDome IP cameras lies Bosch Dinion or DinionXF camera technology, depending on the model.

NWD-455 models are high performance 1/3-inch CCD network cameras optimised for high image quality. A host of features ensure clear, sharp, high-definition pictures at all times, even in brightly backlit locations. Increased intelligence provides powerful tamper detection, and optional IVMD (intelligent video motion detection) provides advanced video content analysis directly at the camera.

NWD-495 (FlexiDomeDN IP) versions add XF-Dynamic and special day/night functionality. XF-Dynamic combines with 15-bit signal processing to provide improved sensitivity over an extended dynamic range, allowing every detail to show up in highlight/lowlight areas of the same scene. Day/night cameras also include an IR filter to increase IR sensitivity for night viewing.

The FlexiDome IP cameras are compatible with Bosch management and recording systems including VIDOS, Bosch VMS and DiBos.
