Vivotek has announced the release of the FD-7131 indoor infrared 3-axis dome camera. This IP camera's 3-axis design makes ceiling- or wall-mounting an easy task for any installer. It includes an auto iris 2-4 mm vari-focal lens from one of the leading Japanese manufacturers. The built-in passive infrared sensor allows for detection and therefore triggering an alarm event on motion. The camera features built in and remotely controllable inputs and outputs. White light LEDs ensure crisp images in total darkness up to 10 metres. The dual codec feature supports MPEG4 and MJPEG compression. Simultaneous dual streams up to 30 FPS in 640 x 480 resolutions can be achieved. In addition to this it supports 802.3af-compliant Power over Ethernet as a standard. Various levels of user access as well as IP address filtering are standard security features. The camera also supports 3GPP mobile surveillance. The package includes 16-channel IP software. The second release of this product will also include two-way audio. Software development kits are available for system integration purposes.
