RCG Systems SA has launched its latest data security product, FxSecure Key, aimed at the consumer market. Using a wireless connection, it allows notebook users to retain the ability, when not in possession of their notebook, to send configuration commands in the form of SMS messages, including locking the notebook, deleting data and formatting predesignated files within the computer. FxSecure Key also functions as a wireless modem, enabling remote Internet connection.

It is designed and developed by RCG, with pending patent protection, and specifically targeted towards individuals in need of high levels of security for notebook computers.

FxSecure Key provides a wide range of anti-theft functions and offers notebook users an advanced solution to protect sensitive information from unauthorised users. FxSecure Key allows bilateral realtime communication between a notebook and its owner via a mobile phone.
