Courthouse Checkpoint System

August 2007 Access Control & Identity Management

The HAB-Scan CSS Courthouse Checkpoint System is a low cost package designed to meet the total security checkpoint requirements for courthouses as well as other government and commercial facilities. The Courthouse Checkpoint System consists of the dual energy Model 515 X-ray system fitted with a two-foot stainless steel input table and a one metre stainless steel output roller table. The Model Courthouse Checkpoint System also includes the reliable, portable Metor 150 walk-through metal detector and the Metor 28 handheld metal detector.

System components

* Model 515: A dual energy, compact X-ray system for space-restricted installations. Dual energy imaging provides automatic colour coding of materials with different atomic numbers so that screeners can easily identify objects within the parcel. The system is equipped with a removable control panel to facilitate mobility. The Model 515 offers a tunnel opening of 640  mm wide by 430  mm high to accommodate large parcels.

* Metor 150: This walk-through metal detector has our world renowned, patented coil geometry, offering high throughput with fewer unnecessary alarms. Targeted objects, such as guns and knives, are consistently and accurately detected, while personal items such as keys, coins, belt buckles and eyeglasses can pass through without causing an alarm. The Metor 150’s uniform detection field is unique and state-of-art. The Metor 150 will find threat objects regardless of their orientation. Because the unit is continuously active, at no time is it possible to toss, pass or slide a weapon through without detection. The Metor 150 is lightweight, portable, and easy to install. Setup can be completed by one person in less than 15 minutes.

* Metor 28: Handheld metal detectors are an integral part of the physical security screening process. The Metor 28 unit has been designed to benefit security personnel as well as the person being scanned. The unique angled design allows you to thoroughly scan an individual, while keeping your hand away from their body.
