Victorious Vector

Centurion Systems has recognised the benefits of the linear gate automation system and focused on designing out all the negative features of the traditional operator to arrive at the Vector, with in-line construction of the motor, gearbox and actuating piston.

It incorporates an efficient planetary gearbox and this, combined with its high torque 12 V d.c. motor, allows the operator to deliver a potent 300 kg push force.

An innovative centrifugal brake was developed to ensure secure locking of the drive-train when the gate is both open and closed.

Thanks to the internal position control mechanism the installation of the Vector is simplified by not having to fit mechanical end-of-travel end-stops.

In a double leaf installation by using the positive closed mode feature and a simple tab on one gate to interlock with the other, the Vector will firmly lock the gates together in the closed position.

A range of optional mounting bracket kits has been designed for the system allowing the motors to be fitted to almost any swing gate pillar.

The Vector electronics, with 'Quadra-Drive' speed control, maintains a smooth starting and stopping of the gate and a swift opening in less than 14 seconds.

With only a low voltage battery supply powering the Vector operator, the system is totally safe from risks such as electrocution and has the added benefit of providing power failure protection.

The user interface of the controller has been enhanced using a liquid crystal display (LCD) and featuring an easy to use menu system makes set-up of the system child's play. The controller is housed inside a sealed plastic casing for protection against the ingress of dust and insects, and incorporates removable terminals for quick and easy field replacement.
