Axis Communications has launched a new megapixel camera, the Axis 211 M, that at 1,3 Megapixels delivers three times the resolution of a high-quality analogue camera.
The camera slots in between the Axis 207 MW and the Axis 223 M, a 2,0 Megapixel camera.
The high resolution is complemented by auto iris functionality allowing the camera to work over a wider range of illumination as well as protecting against very bright scenes, and progressive scan technology to drastically reduce blur in images of moving objects.
The 211M includes PoE (Power over Ethernet) for simplified and cheaper installation and two-way audio support giving additional monitoring and control options. Comprehensive network capabilities include IPv6 - ready for the next generation of IP networks - as well as IPv4, IEEE 802.1x port-based authentication, IP address filtering and QoS (Quality of Service) support.
The camera can deliver simultaneous Motion JPEG and MPEG-4 video streams at full resolution.
