Pretoria-based Software Control Services, trading as Softcon, is a developer and manufacturer of electronic and software (SW) products, mainly for the access control and building management markets. Softcon products are installed in 22 countries, in more than 1400 sites (more than 600 being PC-based on-line systems), with over 7500 controllers in the field.

Already boasting a branch office located in Cape Town, and distributors in France, UK, Spain and Holland, Softcon has announced that it will be opening its first office in the US, during the course of September 1999.

Tony Howell of Softcon will be opening Softcon USA just outside New York, and SoftUSA (as it will be known) will be launched at ISC East, a security exhibition in New York which takes place from 31 August to 2 September 1999.

Says Softcon MD Mark Liebenberg, "To add to our expanding international flavour, we have new e-mail addresses: softcon@softconserv.com, softcape@softconserv.com and soon softusa@softconserv.com. Our new website www.softconserv.com already contains much more detail, including the latest software versions (including EPROMs) and latest help files. More data is being added almost daily."
