New AC products from Impro

April 2007 News & Events

On 31 March Impro Technologies launched nine new hardware products and various software upgrades for the full IXP Range.

The Impro Touch Software Suite now enables enrolment of users via third-party biometrics through a single software suite with Impro's IXP 400 Software Version 7.4. Also included in this software release was the Impro Vision Software Suite, which enables advanced integration with various third-party digital video recorders (DVRs) and CCTV devices.

New hardware products released included two new ImproX Terminals. The TRT or Twin Remote Terminal was designed to enable the user to connect to two third party hardware devices via one terminal, thus reducing the amount of hardware required in a system.

The MfT or multifunction terminal is a semi intelligent terminal that can operate off-line from the controller via the 2000 most recent transactions in its memory cache.

Other hardware released includes a biometric fingerprint reader converted by Impro to include Wiegand integration. This enables the user to present both a proximity tag and a fingerprint.

An entirely new, revolutionary Ethernet controller was certainly the most significant hardware item released. The controller communicates at a baud rate of 115 200 versus 38 400 as in the past. A queuing system has been included enabling the controller to perform a full data upload in significantly reduced time. There has been a massive memory increase and the controller comes standard with battery backup.
