Brief early afternoon presentations by MD Stuart Picker and Marketing Director Steve Mason were followed by some serious socialising in a marquee erected on the grounds of EMS Midrand headquarters, accompanied by laid-back sounds from a live jazz fusion band.

In his address, Pickering told delegates that since the much-publicised EMS management buyout in March this year, the company had grown from strength to strength culminating in a record order book for October.

"Dedication and loyalty from staff and the tremendous support from our business partners who have recognised our potential and stood by us whilst we underwent our transition, have resulted in EMS's extraordinary success," said Pickering.

Mason briefly outlined enhancements to the company's flagship product - System 42 - outlining its new user-friendly functionality. Business partners were given the opportunity of a sneak preview of System 42 Version 3.
