New digital technology provides security and management solutions to business

September 99 News & Events

Opsis Visual Management will be exhibiting at Securex Cape where it will be introducing its revolutionary new product, the CashGuard. The Opsis digital CCTV recorder is one of the most sophisticated, yet easy to use CCTV recording systems on the market.

Connected to CCTV cameras, the Opsis system records all the camera footage digitally, whilst looking for motion within the camera's field of view, eliminating the recording of 'dead' footage. The Opsis system has a fast and powerful video footage retrieval mechanism, thereby overcoming the tedious task of searching for particular video clips.

The Opsis system is ideally suited to access control and general security applications, excelling as it does as a management tool. It can be used effectively for production monitoring, quality control, staff training and process monitoring. Existing installations include banks, hospitals, manufacturers, corporate buildings and depots.

Protecting the bulk cash environment with CashGuard

Clients dealing in large amounts of cash on a daily basis at their teller or sales points can, with Opsis CashGuard, effectively manage the monitoring and control of cash received, whilst reducing the risks associated with cash handling. Typical problems dealt with by the CashGuard system include: providing evidence to resolve disputes regarding deposit totals, security of the cash handling process and assuring process effectiveness and control. CashGuard can be custom configured for clients' requirements.

The CashGuard enables effective unattended monitoring for tracking the acceptance handling, counting and dispatch of bulk cash for cash handling centres. The CashGuard system incorporates a CCTV camera, an Opsis digital video recorder, a cash counting machine and a teller transaction register. Each transaction is recorded both as a digital video clip on the Opsis recorder and as a text file on the transaction register. This provides synchronised video recording of transactions with the transaction data.
