Safety and Security Warehouse set to revolutionise security distribution

September 99 News & Events, Government and Parastatal (Industry)

A new concept in security technology distribution is set to cause a stir in the industry and provide a long overdue and, frankly, welcome facet to product promotion. Founded by A.J Booysen and Malcolm Sacks, the new concept takes the form of the Safety & Security Warehouse.

Says Malcolm Sacks, Managing Executive of Safety & Security Warehouse, "In a country where safety and security have become the single biggest concerns for businesses and individuals, South Africans are compelled to take as many precautions as is humanly possible."

It was with this in mind that Booysen and Sacks, with a collective 35 years experience in security related fields, saw the need for a proverbial one-stop-warehouse encompassing a vast range of safety and security products, all under one roof. Safety & Security Warehouse opens its doors towards the end of August 1999.

Adds Sacks, "This unique business occupying in excess of 200 sq metres of covered space, will offer over 100 different manufacturer's products that will displayed and marketed from the premises. It is a high profile, professional, up-market centre which is open, free of charge, to all members of the public, major corporations, multi-nationals, overseas buyers and trade delegations, local and international government officials, police departments and in fact everyone who requires safety, security and first-aid equipment."

Conveniently located in Bruma, Johannesburg at the attractive Bruma Boardwalk Centre overlooking Bruma Lake, Safety & Security Warehouse is close to Johannesburg International airport, Eastgate Shopping Centre, the Bruma Lake Flea Market World and close to major arterial highways.

"Open six days a week, Monday to Friday (08h00 to 17h00) and Saturdays (08h30 to 13h00), Safety & Security Warehouse invites visitors to experience the best way to select their safety and security requirements," says Sacks.

An official ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for sometime during the month of September and Hi-Tech Security Systems will report back and offer an in-depth analysis of the future of this simple, yet potentially dynamic concept.

According to Sacks, the company has already earmarked possible sites for expansion of the concept to both Durban and Cape Town in 2000.
