Developed by GE in the US, and now available in South Africa, exclusively distributed by KeySafeSA, the Portable KeySafe is a tough die-cast metal box used to store a spare key securely outside a home or business.
The Portable KeySafe can be temporarily attached to a door handle or gatepost, for example, and is accessed by entering a predetermined code using the mechanical pushbutton mechanism. GE's patented locking mechanism means that no external power sources or connections are needed to open the KeySafe. The code can be easily changed at any time, and the safe can be used in temperatures ranging from -32° to 68°.
