100+ new features for PowerSeries

After Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc with homes, businesses and alarm systems all across the southern USA, DSC received several letters from installers praising PowerSeries systems. Thousands of DSC installations were up again and working perfectly with minimal intervention.

DSC engineers applied this tradition of attention to detail before they would put the DSC name on the company's new future-smart platform. It has been rigorously tested internally, has acquired all the key listings worldwide, has been successfully market-tested in the UK for the past six months, and is ready for the rest of the security world to embrace.

DSC engineers wanted to design a control panel that set the benchmark for tomorrow's security needs. Different models of the existing line-up could accommodate many emerging security needs, but it would be better for distributors and installers if more needs could be satisfied across the range, and within a smaller range of models.

Installers would find it easier to order and would limit control panel upgrade callbacks as new technological features were added to customer security systems. It would make it easier for distributors to manage inventory and improve service for installers.

As the security business changes, installers are seeking a greater variety of advanced user interfaces including stylish, easy-to-sell interfaces with all the latest features and a sensible value equation. At the same time these interfaces need to be easy to install, upgrade and use. In 2006, DSC has introduced 11 new choices.

The new PK5590CL colour touchscreen security interface complements the décor of today's modern installations. The faceplate and screen design can be customised according to dealer preferences.

The introduction of the next-generation of PowerSeries is the big story at ISC West 2006 because it represents history in the making. DSC has 14 new control panels and interfaces, offering installers and end-users more than 100 new features.
