New technology in alarm communicators

IRC, a local designer and manufacturer of radio and alarm equipment has a wide range of alarm transmitters, base stations and repeater equipment that offers the latest in technology to ensure the alarm signal reaches the base.

Known for its design expertise, IRC boasts a number of 'firsts'. These include being first with a bi-directional communicator, first to offer a synthesised fully programmable communicator and first to incorporate FET technology in their communicators.

According to Louis Ashpole of IRC: "Foremost among our new designs is a range that can be stocked and programmed as necessary. All equipment is completely wide band and tunes itself when programmed on frequency.

"We are pleased to be able to say: 'Gone are the days of relying on the supplier to correctly set up frequencies, codes and I/O assignments. And gone are the days when the product supplier dictated your choice of Ademco Contact ID or digital inputs.' Our communicators feature both types as standard, allowing freedom of choice.

"Protocols used ensure that the system may be expanded in the future, and component redundancies have been minimised by using the latest in raw material technology.

"We are in this for the long run, so IRC will continue to develop with the future in mind."
